to Hope Humanist Ministry. HHM is based upon some very basic, yet profound ideals and beliefs. As Humanists we put our faith, first and most, in our fellow humans. Hope Humanists believe that we (all humans) are responsible for solving our own problems, and for taking care of the planet that sustains us. Spirituality and religious beliefs are either unimportant, or a matter of personal preference – but should not take the place of personal action to right the wrongs in our society and create a better future for our children and their children. Are you a Humanist?

Many people are humanists and don’t know it. Many more are aware that they hold humanist values and ideals, but do not have a way of expressing those values or working toward those ideals. Many humanists lack a place to go to interact with other humanists, or learn about and participate in humanist-related activities. The basis of humanism is a belief that love, kindness, honesty, equality, shared resources, and most of all --Reason--will achieve a better life, a better world, and a lasting peace for all mankind. That hope for peace, prosperity, and equality on a worldwide scale is the driving force behind humanism.(read more)
